John Marshall

John Marshall was born in Wales in 1827. Some time before 1862, he married Catherine Leary. Before emigrating to the United States in 1869, they had two known children: William (1862) and Henora (1865). They settled in Pittsburgh, PA, and had 5 more children: Michel (1869), John (1871), Kate (1873), Maggie (1875), and Ellen (1878).

The handwriting on the 1870 census is not very legible, and the scan appears to be at a lower resolution than many others, but his occupation appears to be something like Boiler Helper.
