Regina Ann Collyer is the daughter of Virginia Cooney and Harold Louis Schmitt, the granddaughter of William Schmitt and Margaret Diehl, and the great-granddaughter of Stephen Schmitt and Amelia.
Regina Schmitt married William Curtis Collyer II (Curt) in Cranford, NJ, in April of 1962 and they have 5 children; Karen Ann Collyer, John William Collyer, Christine Marie Collyer, David Christian Collyer, and William Curtis Collyer III.
The descendants of Harold Schmitt and William August Schmitt were brought closer together when, while living in Trumbull, CT, Regina and Curt were the gracious hosts to William Francis Schmitt, helping to relieve the stresses of dormitory living while he attended Fairfield University.
