Rita Marie Mayer is the daughter of Magdeline Amelia Schmitt and Charles Joseph Mayer, the granddaughter of August Schmitt and Mary Zink. She is the great grandaughter of Stephen Schmitt and Amelia.
Rita Marie Mayer married John Edward Finan at Maria Regina in Seaford, NY. They have 2 children; Marie Therese Finan, and John Robert Finan and were amongst the first group of pioneers in that part of the family to leave the New York City/Long Island area for the wilds of Connecticut.
