Sylvester Brierton
|
Sylvester Brierton is a son of James Brierton and Katharine. He was appointed a novice policeman on April 1, 1893, having passed a special civil service exam. After that, there are a number of articles in the archives of the Brooklyn Eagle related to various arrests he made. He married a woman named Josephine and they had 5 children, only two of whom survived infancy; Edna (1902) and Sylvester W (1891). The other children who were born and died sometime before 1902 (before Edna was born) were James, Catherine, and Frank. |
