Thomas Ancell

Thomas Ancell was a boatman, who was born in Fluvanna, Virginia, on April 24, 1815. He married Mildred Moon on December 2, 1845, in Albermarle, Virginia, and they had 5 known children: Nathaniel (about 1847), Edward (about 1849), William H. (about 1852), Thomas W. (about 1855), and John F. (about 1859). In 1850, they are found living in Rockbridge, VA, and had one 15 year old female slave.

Thomas died on March 30, 1885 in Doddridge, West Virginia.
