Nancy Jean Pranulis, a native of Connecticut, is the daughter of Joseph Anthony Pranulis and Rita Lillian Kuslis.
She attended Notre Dame Academy in Waterbury, CT, followed by Fairfield University. At Fairfield, she majored in Math, and graduate Cum Laude.
Upon graduation from Fairfield University, she began working as a programmer at Accudata, then moved to Chemical Bank in New York City, where she advanced to the level of Assistant Vice President.
She married William Francis Schmitt and they have 3 children, William Joseph, Rebecca Anne, and Harry Joseph.
Has served on a number of committees in the town, is a previous chair of the local High School Building Committee, and is a member of the town Board of Education. Nancy is currently a High School Math teacher in another town.
